ABOUT
Renkai Tan is a Chinese filmmaker and recent graduate of NYU Tisch's Film & Television program. He wishes to connect the East and the West through his film and tells the underrepresented Chinese immigrant stories. His first short, "The Goddess," was acquired by Film Movement for the Blu-Ray release of “The Wild Goose Lake.” "Limitation of Life" is his second and latest film, and the recipient of Panavision's New Filmmaker Grant.
“Limitation of Life” balances commentary with a love for the golden era of Hollywood, making for a pretty and moving experience with meaning. With this film acting as the second short from director Renkai Tan, it will be interesting to see how the young talent develops in subsequent productions.
